In some cases, there are rebates on energy star appliances too, so you may be able to get more than one rebate.
You should rush out on October 15, 2009 just to get a rebate on your washing machine. This program is not like cash for clunkers, there are no trade ins. You buy a new washing machine if you are interested in saving money every time you wash a load of laundry. This program will help stimulate the appliance stores as well as help homeowners save money on their energy bills, which is great for the environment as well.
